Bet On Brazil Bookmaker Review

bob home

Bet on Brazil is one of the newest betting sites on the market. It is operated by Argyll Entertainment AG, a company based in Switzerland. It’s aimed squarely at a UK market however, hence the use of former football turned radio presenter Alan Brazil as the face of the company. It started operating in time for the 2016 European Championships and has gone from strength to strength since.

Alan Brazil has never been the sort of pundit to shy away from controversy, making a name for himself as an outspoken presenter for TalkSport. Given that he was also a forward for Manchester United, Ipswich Town and Scotland, it’s no great surprise that Bet on Brazil has worked hard to target football fans with its offers and coverage.

Welcome Offer - 50% Matched Bonus up to £50

New customers to the site can get a matched deposit bonus of up to £50 added to their account as part of the Bet On Brazil welcome offer.

How To Claim

In order to make use of the deposit bonus offer all you need to do is to enter the code ‘BRAZIL50’ when you’re making your first deposit. You need to pay in a minimum of £10 and the most you’ll get as a deposit bonus is £50, though you can of course pay more than £100 into your account it's just your bonus will be capped at £50.

What Deposit Methods Are Valid For The Bonus?

At the moment the only deposit methods you can use to get money into your Bet on Brazil account are debit and credit cards.

How The Free Bet Works

As long as you deposit more than £10 into your account and use the code, your first deposit will be matched up to £50. You’ll then have thirty days to rollover the combined amount of your deposit and bonus funds on wagers with odds of 14/5 (1.8) or higher 6x. For example, if you deposit £20 and it’s matched with £10 you’ll have to rollover the total amount of £30 ten times.

Desktop Site

I feel a little bit like I shouldn’t like the Bet on Brazil website, to be honest, and yet I really do. Admittedly seeing Alan Brazil’s face everywhere is enough to make anyone feel a bit queasy, but they’ve kept the whole thing really simple and consequently it’s a very user friendly experience. The homepage features links to the day’s offers front and centre, with the Happy Hour enhanced odds in a prominent position.

Down the lefthand side you’ll find links to any live events that are taking place at the time you’re there as well as a link to the most popular sporting occasions. Typically this means the Premier League, Champions League or World Cup, depending on what time of year it is. There's also a link to all of the sports that the cover. In the main section of the site you’ll find live events and any decent bets that they think you might be interested in, such as ‘Rooney to Score’, for example.

Bet On Brazil Mobile App

There isn’t a mobile app for Bet on Brazil. That might be because it’s early doors in the company’s life and they’re waiting for it to take off before they launch one, or it may be because they’re never going to have one. What they do have is a mobile site that is essentially a condensed version of the desktop site. Obviously that’s not perfect, but it actually works quite well all things considered.

The homepage features the same links to Brazil’s Happy Hour and interesting bets as you’ll find on the desktop site. There’s also coverage of live events in the main body of the text. All sports are covered by a menu button and there is also a search function in there that might appeal if you know exactly what you’re looking to bet on.

Live Betting

bob live

You can bet on football matches live. There are loads of markets to choose from here, with Bet on Brazil not limiting themselves merely to the Premier League. Do you fancy have a bet on the Egyptian Premier League, for example? How about the Bolivian Liga Profesional? They don’t cover a lot but what they do cover they cover well.

Live Streaming

Much like with many other newly starting bookmakers there is no live streaming for you to entertain yourself with through Bet on Brazil. You could always bet with them and watch events through a different bookie if you wanted to, though.

Markets and Odds

Their market coverage isn’t bad for such a new bookie. Obviously football is their main love and they cover that very well, they've also got a full horse racing package as well as all the classic sports an average UK punter would want to wager on. They don't cover absolutely every sport yet but Bet on Brazil would probably argue that their aim is to cover some things well rather than lots of things poorly, so I suppose we should bear that in mind.

Bet on Brazil’s odds are powered by Kambi, a company that also does the odds for rivals bookmakers like Unibet and 888Sport. If you’re looking away from football then they’re going to be quite run-of-the-mill, but when it comes to their favourite sport the odds aren’t bad at all. The enhanced odds and loyalty free bets you’ll get however can be really impressive helping to boost your winnings.

Banking

As things currently stand you can only use credit or debit cards to make deposits and withdrawals. The minimum amount you can deposit is £5 and you don’t get charged a fee for doing so.

Other Products

There is a casino available through Bet on Brazil. It offers loads of different slot type games as well as roulette, BlackJack and other table games. It’s not as comprehensive as other bookmakers and their casinos, but it exists which is more than you can say for similarly small bookies.

About Bet On Brazil

bobBet on Brazil is one of the youngest online bookmakers on the market. They’re very intentionally targeting a football audience and they’re using the reputation of Alan Brazil as a loudmouth to do so. The presenter doesn’t shy away of getting involved, letting you know what he thinks are good odds and interesting markets via articles and even podcasts that are posted to the site.

Though Alan Brazil is the face (and voice) of the company, it is very much the brainchild of Switzerland based Argyll Entertainment. Their catchphrase is ‘Don’t bet on boring’, so that should tell you all you need to know about their approach to the betting industry. Their aim is to differentiate themselves from their competition by offering something more exiting than other bookies. You can judge for yourself whether they succeed.

Pros

Love Alan Brazil or hate him, he is fronting up a product that is decidedly different from pretty much anything else out there. As a football fan I like the depth of their coverage of my favourite sport and I think the idea of offering existing customer free bet rewards is a clever one. Covering a few things really well rather than loads of things in a mediocre manner is a good way of offering something out of the norm in a crowded market.

Cons

This is definitely an online bookmaker for football fans. Yes they cover other sports but there aren’t loads of markets within them and the odds aren’t any better than you’d find elsewhere. The lack of a mobile app and live streaming is also disappointing, though one or both of those things might change in the future. Their customer service is also not 24/7 yet.

Licence & Contact Details

As a new site it’s understandable that Bet on Brazil might not give you loads of options when it comes to their customer support, so I’m not too bothered by the fact that there’s no phone line you can call. What I do think is a bit disappointing is the fact that their live chat is only available from 9am until 5pm Monday to Friday. If you’ve got a problem outside of those hours then you’d better hope that they reply to your email quickly.

At the time of writing both the Twitter account and Facebook account of Bet on Brazil are little more than holders. They exist, but I wouldn’t bother searching them out if you’ve got a question or want…well…any information at all, actually.

Thought Argyll Entertainment are based in Switzerland they are registered in the UK and licensed by the UK Gambling Commission. Their licence number is 45143 and it was issued to them in May of 2016. There isn’t an address to write to when it comes to customer services, though the company’s official address is as follows:

Bet On Brazil Address: Argyll Entertainment, Bahnhofstrasse 10, Zug, 6300, Switzerland.
