With the business end of the horse racing flat season in full flow and the jump season on the horizon, BetVictor have seized upon the occasion to launch a new horse racing product called Smart Cards. The new live stats product for mobile has been designed to provide up to the minute racing stats and news updates to help make users make better informed wagers.
The new cards will work with data partner Timeform in order to provide the most accurate and real time information as opposed to traditional static form that will have been published earlier that day. The cards will also aim to provide tips, highlight market movers, display race day trends, issue live updates, show draw bias and eye-catching trainer/jockey partnerships as well as offering any other useful unique insights on all UK and Irish race meetings.
Director of Product at BetVictor Eoin Ryan, said;
“Today, across almost every sport that punters bet on, the use of statistical information to produce real-time insights is increasingly important. However, over the past few years horse racing products have remained relatively static. By integrating the latest Timeform services in our horse racing offering, the new Smart Cards product really raises the bar, enabling us to provide our customers with a best-in-class racing experience.”
See The Bigger Picture
The new Smart Cards will be integrated into BetVictor’s standard race card and come as part of BetVictor’s new drive to become industry leader for horse racing encapsulated by their See The Bigger Picture campaign. This campaign has also seen the bookmaker partner up with new brand ambassadors Rachael Blackmore, Nicola Currie and Jamie Snowden.
BetVictor are not the only online bookmaker making changes to their horse racing product. In a similar bid to be the boss of British horse racing betting, Bet365 have recently launched their new feature, My Horses. Offering a slightly different purpose than Smart Cards, My Horses allows punters to keep track of the horses they always back, add a note or two to runners, set up reminder notifications to let you know when your horses are due to run and basically keep a personalised race based diary, that players can refer to when reviewing their picks.
My Horses from Bet365, who recently integrated their betting service into the Racing Post’s latest app update, also promises to be very user friendly, with players only needing to pick the relevant race card before choosing the horse that they want to add to your stable by selecting a STAR icon. Registered horses can also be found and added by using the search functionality on the Horse Racing homepage. After this, users can set up alerts and add notes as when preferred for each horse in your stable to allow you to follow their progress.
Bet365 Live In New Jersey
Also Bet365, the Stoke headquartered betting operator went live in New Jersey this week in time for the new NFL season, which kicks off on the 5th of September. In a ‘soft’ launch, the new betting service will allow American based bettors to register an account no matter where they are based in the US. However, users can only make bets with the operator so long as they are physically located in the state of New Jersey at the time.
Almost exactly one year ago, Bet365 announced their plans to join in the gold rush of America’s sports gambling frenzy and their New Jersey launch marks their official entry into the US regulated sports betting market accordingly. Last summer, the betting operator partnered with Atlantic City’s Hard Rock Hotel & Casino to launch a sports betting operation in the state, the third European betting sites to do so. Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) and Unibet are the two others.
To aid them in their US mission, Bet365 have acquired a 19,000 square feet office at Two Greentree Center in Marlton, New Jersey, approximately 50 miles from Atlantic City. The firm have big designs on The States and likely to eyeing up New York next where they already have a strategic alliance in place with Empire Resorts. Under this arrangement, a physical and online sportsbook at Resorts World Catskills in Upstate New York is under development.
While readying themselves for their US push, Bet365 teamed up with Australian prepaid payment services provider EML Payments Limited. In a deal that could expand across other states, EML’s American arm will provide a Bet365-branded prepaid card program in New Jersey.
