Metal Casino Launch New GiG Sportsbook

metal casino logoYet another new online sportsbook hit the market this week as the Rock music themed gaming operator Metal Casino launched their new online betting product in collaboration with Gaming Innovation Group (GiG). The all new betting platform had been given a soft launch across a number of European markets originally but has since been rolled out full scale.

Malta based Metal Casino have been delivering a number of slots and casino games on GiG’s Core platform since they opened for business in August 2017 and have now returned to the same provider in order to assist them into branching out into sports betting. Metal’s new sportsbook will even be headed up by former GiG sportsbook project manager Sven Strey after he switched roles in May this year.

Innovative Fast-Paced Content

Founded in 2012, GiG, who operate and administer the online casino brands Rizk, High Roller and Guts among others, rolled out their very own omni-channel sportsbook in June of last year to coincide with the Russian World Cup. The new sportsbook was launched internally through Rizk Casino just before the start of the tournament and, according to results, performed pleasingly well.

GiG Sports Connect is an in-house odds aggregator and data service offering operators the freedom to choose their own odds for every event and market, unlike other betting platform that offer the same prices regardless of bookmaker. The new platform will now be accessible in all jurisdictions covered by UK and Maltese gambling licences.

Endre Nesset, director of sports at GiG, said;

“We are happy to support Metal Casino entering the world of sports betting. The launch process has been smooth and it is a pleasure working with the Metal team. The fully managed solution is personalised to their liking and we are excited to see how the product is being received from metal fans across Europe.”

Hard Rock’s New GiG

In other GiG news, the fast evolving operator now believes it is a “a force to be reckoned with” after announcing that they will be launching a mobile sportsbook through a partnership with Hard Rock Casino in the state of New Jersey before the end of 2019.

GiG, whose vision is ‘To open up iGaming and make it fair and fun for all, have been working on development of the Atlantic City Casino’s three-module betting product all year and now, owing to the repeal of the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA), they are free to continue with the platform’s release before integrating it. The all new betting product will feature risk management tools, live odds and statistical data.

GiG’s jump into New Jersey is nothing new. European online gaming companies have been falling over themselves to secure a slice of the American pie that is legalised sports betting in the US since the PASPA decision was made.

This week, Unibet, part of The Kindred Group, launched their new Kambi-based sportsbook, again with Hard Rock, who have an alternative partnership in place with Bet365 also that will see the launch of a mobile sportsbook within the next month. When Bet365 launches alongside Unibet, Hard Rock will have all three online sports partners, the maximum permitted by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement.

Kambi’s leading rival, for now, SBTech are also building themselves a presence in the state of New Jersey, and elsewhere, thanks to a deal agreed with Golden Nugget Atlantic City to provide an online and mobile sportsbook in New Jersey. Also, last year, MGM Resorts signed a partnership deal with GVC, owners of Ladbrokes Coral.

As GiG expand their software creation portfolio to include sportsbook, back in May the technology company also released their fifth in house online casino game, Midnight Madness. GiG’s first two gaming products, Wild Reels and Book of Souls, achieved huge success, leaving the company vowing to have launched up to eight games in the first half of 2019.
